M. I. A. Iginla (Mrs). Aims: The aims of the Journal are: (a) To provide a medium for international dissemination of information about medical science in West Africa and elsewhere.
(b) To furnish a means whereby appropriate international medical and health organisations may transmit information to medical scientists in medical institutions of West Africa and elsewhere.
(c) To serve as a forum for publications relating to international conferences in medical sciences in West Africa.
(d) To promote co-operation amongst medical scientists in Africa and elsewhere.

Notices
The Journal is published quarterly, four issues form one volume. Each issue will initially have approximately 84 pages. The Journal is bi-lingual (English and French). Papers published in the Journal now feature in index medicus. Annual Subscription for other parts of the world is as follows:
United Kingdom £50.00 post free. West Africa $30.00. The rest of the world and the United States $100.00 post free. A charge of $30.00 is made for reprints inclusive of postage.
